New Assistant Principal Named for Lake Elmo and Brookview
STILLWATER, Minn. – July 25, 2025 – Jeffrey Stensrud has been selected as the new assistant principal at Brookview and Lake Elmo elementary schools.
Mr. Stensrud is an accomplished educational leader with experience as a principal, assistant principal, dean, and classroom teacher. Most recently, he served as principal at Prodeo Academy, a charter school in the Twin Cities.
Throughout his career, Mr. Stensrud has demonstrated a strong commitment to closing achievement gaps and supporting students from diverse backgrounds and learning needs. He is passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments where every student can thrive.
Stensrud holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Waldorf University and a Masters in special education. He holds a Principal License from Mankato State University.

To prepare for the opening of the new Lake Elmo and Bayport elementary schools, the district is reviewing attendance boundaries to balance enrollment across our southern schools and make room for future growth. A decision is expected in December.
